From the Director, Prof Chris Rowe
Welcome to our September issue of the ADNeT Newsletter.
I have very exciting news to share:
The Australian Dementia Forum is taking place on 31 May – 1 June 2021 as a fully virtual conference. This is the most responsible path forward to maintaining safe conditions for our delegates, presenters and exhibitors while at the same time overcoming the uncertainties presented by COVID-19. If the current second wave in Victoria has taught us something, it is that the situation can change very quickly and that we need to be prepared for that.
The virtual conference will offer the same rich content and broad range of presentations as past face-to-face meetings.
We are already in talks with keynote speakers and will be soon revealing a stellar line-up of both domestic and international speakers and opening the call for submissions.
The conference program is structured around four key topics or streams:
Discovery and basic research, diagnosis and treatment, prevention, and living with dementia and care.
