Biography
Inga Mehrani is the national Project Manager of the Australian Dementia Network – Memory Clinics initiative at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) at the University of New South Wales. This NHMRC-funded project aims to harmonise diagnostic standards of Australian Memory Clinic, connect Memory Clinic clinicians across states, and boost collaboration. Inga is a trained Speech Pathologist and completed her PhD in Cognitive Science as part of the International Doctorate for Experimental Approaches to Language and Brain (IDEALAB) at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) and the University of Groningen (Groningen, The Netherlands) in 2018. Inga has a particular research interest in the improvement of diagnosis and treatment for individuals with stroke-induced and neurodegenerative language impairments and gained extensive research and clinical experience during her work on diagnostic and intervention studies in Germany and Australia.
