Prof Henry Brodaty talks to Dr Norman Swan about dementia in the first 20 years of this century – knowledge, rates, and prevention.

As prevention and management of vascular and other health risk factors improves, the risk of health conditions such as coronary disease, stroke and dementia is reduced. In fact, about 40% of the risk of dementia can be accounted for by about 12 lifestyle or environmental factors.
