Professor Perminder Sachdev: Longevity and dementia
ADNeT Co-Director Professor Perminder Sachdev spoke on Radio New Zealand’s Nine to Noon about common factors for increased longevity and modifying risk factors for dementia. He explains the influence and role that genetics versus modifiable environmental factors can play in delaying or preventing the onset of dementia and how if dementia can be delayed by even 1-2 years, it will lead to a significant reduction in disease burden.
