Professor Ralph Martins – Boosting health to prevent memory loss

ADNeT Chief Investigator Professor Ralph Martins is heading a new trial (AU-ARROW) to help prevent dementia, to examine if medication and lifestyle changes can become potent ways to preserve the brain in the same way that cholesterol is managed to protect the heart.

It follows the work of colleagues from Finland which shows a lifestyle program after two years helps protect the brains of older people at risk of dementia.

The study is looking to recruit 600 participants aged between 60-79 years. If you are interested in participating in the study, get in touch with Macquarie University on au.arrow@mq.edu.au.
