Welcome to the May edition of the ADNeT newsletter!
I’m thrilled to announce that ADNeT has secured funding in the federal budget ($1.7 million for fiscal year 2024–25). This funding underscores the importance of ADNeT’s work in advancing the healthcare system’s readiness for breakthroughs in biomarkers and disease-modifying therapies. It’s a testament to ADNeT’s role in shaping the landscape of healthcare in Australia.
In addition to this exciting news, I’m delighted to welcome three new partners to ADNeT: the Dementia Australia Research Foundation, Griffith Health, and Deakin University. Their collaboration further strengthens our efforts in holistic dementia research and its translation into practice.
We’re eagerly looking forward to the upcoming Australian Dementia Research Forum, scheduled for June 3 to 5. If you haven’t already reserved your spot, please do so now as registration closes on May 17. Don’t miss out on this invaluable opportunity to participate in knowledge exchange and delve into new avenues of dementia research.
Stay tuned for more updates and developments from ADNeT.
I trust you’ll find this month’s newsletter both informative and engaging! You can read it in full here.
