Welcome to the July edition of the ADNeT newsletter!
On the back of the Australian Dementia Research Forum 2024, we are thrilled at the enthusiasm and collegiality shown by this year’s delegates. We had an extensive program which proved to deliver all the latest innovations and research in dementia diagnosis, prevention, treatment and care. You can read some highlights below.
ADNeT is already looking forward to the next forum to be held in the equally sunny Perth, Western Australia in 2025. I appreciate everyone who provided feedback via the evaluation survey so we can make ADRF even better next year.
Our new Memory and Cognition Clinic Guidelines have been updated and launched to include standards around dementia in people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people with intellectual disability. Please download them if you work in the specialist assessment and care of Australians with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.
Our ‘Spotlight On’ features internationally recognised expert in Alzheimer’s disease Dr Stephen Salloway, a keynote speaker at ADRF2024. I encourage you all to read his insights on the current and future dementia landscape.
There’s much more, and I trust you’ll find this month’s newsletter both informative and engaging. You can read the newsletter in full here or scroll through our news section on the website..
